I met a lady at the health centre a few weeks ago while helping some friends out. We chatted briefly and I helped her as much as I could, but our conversation and her sad situation really struck me, especially in these strange times of lockdown. It’s been on my mind for a few weeks and this morning, I managed to get it out of my head and into a song which I’ll be posting soon.

I'm Jason Newton. I've been writing and recording songs since I can remember. Distance Of Hope is my latest music project. My most recent project was called '12 Songs' where I released a new song and video at 12pm on the 12th of every month for 12 months. The last single 'Nothing But The Ghost Lights Left' came out in May 2021. I'm currently recording a new album which I hope to release in late 2023.
